Wood Bully
Who is Wood Bully?
Wood Bully is a construction-focused media brand and production company known for creating high-retention, challenge-style YouTube content that blends real trades expertise with competitive entertainment. Their flagship series, YouTuber vs. Real Carpenter, has built a massive online following across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook by showcasing authentic craftsmanship, skill-based challenges, and creator-driven storytelling.
Wood Bully produces sponsor-backed, long-form content designed to entertain, educate, and scale consistently across digital platforms.
How did we help them build their series?
FX Productions Canada partnered with Bully Media to elevate the production quality and delivery speed of their expanding YouTube series with a premium, multi-camera approach.
Starting with YouTuber vs. Real Roofer, a new category under the franchise, our team handled full-scale production including multi-cam coverage, FPV drone integration, BTS capture, and accelerated post-production. The goal was to maintain the raw energy of the build-off while introducing cinematic polish, improved pacing, cleaner audio, and a scalable workflow suitable for a high-volume content schedule.
Scaling a High-Retention YouTube Series
To support Wood Bully’s growth objectives, our focus extended beyond visuals into systems and speed.
We built a repeatable production and post-production framework designed for long-form YouTube content, allowing Bully Media to move from inconsistent delivery timelines to predictable, high-quality releases. The episode was filmed in a single day and delivered on an accelerated turnaround, solving one of their biggest bottlenecks: post-production delays.
This approach positions the series to scale reliably across future episodes without sacrificing quality or momentum.
Multi-Camera Competition Coverage
Each competitor was followed independently using dedicated cameras to capture parallel action, reactions, mistakes, and breakthroughs in real time. This allowed for stronger storytelling, tighter pacing, and more engaging edit decisions in post.
FPV & Dynamic Movement
FPV drone runs and stabilized gimbal movement added scale, energy, and spatial context to the warehouse environment, enhancing immersion while keeping the focus on craftsmanship and competition.
Creator-First Post-Production
The edit was structured specifically for YouTube retention, balancing technical build detail with entertainment beats, tension, and narrative clarity. Interviews, mid-build check-ins, and judging were cut to maintain momentum without unnecessary filler.
